Rob and I often talk about moving house. Nothing serious, just the usual daydreamy discussions that most couples have.
We hope to move in the next 4-5 years, and we would like to move to somewhere quieter and more scenic. We just need to figure out where we want to live next.
While we were camping in Kingsdown, Kent last weekend, the topic of moving came up again.
Rob made a throwaway comment about moving to the village and I replied with my standard response “its a bit out of our budget” (the understatement of the year!) The conversation continued with Rob saying “people pay a fortune to live in places where there is nothing”.
Ain’t that the truth!
A village with no doctors surgery, high street, clothes shops, 24hr convenience stores, chippies or other takeaways, cafes, supermarkets, petrol stations, bus service or train station.
I think we will stay put for now, thank you!
